There are a couple things that can really make it difficult to ride when you're little. Riding downhill doesn't make it any easier.
- The crank arm length is too long (for their little legs) and the rider has to po-go up and down to pedal
- The handlebar is too high (above their center of mass) and they can't get weight on the bars when they need to
